North Herts council submitted no response to a recent government consultation over planning powers in South Cambs, it has been revealed. The matter came to light at a recent full council meeting, following a question by Lib Dem Cllr Matt Barnes.
The government has announced that there will be four unitary councils for Hertfordshire. Any reorganisation would have been expensive and disruptive but splitting Hertfordshire in four will be the most expensive and most disruptive option.
