Our District Councillors
North Hertfordshire District Council is responsible for issues such as rubbish collection, leisure facilities, recycling, Council Tax collection, housing, and planning applications. The Council's offices are in Letchworth Garden City. There are 51 District Councillors who were all elected in 2024 for a four-year term to represent the 25 electoral wards. The electoral system for North Herts Council elections is 'First Past The Post' and the Council uses the 'Leader and Cabinet' model.

County Councillors are elected to Hertfordshire County Council for 4 year term. The next elections to HCC will be in May 2025.
