Lisa is Councillor for Knebworth Ward on North Hertfordshire district Council. Lisa sits on the Licensing and Appeals, Employment Appeals, and JSCC Southern Rural committees. She also shadows the waste portfolio and attends meetings of the Knebworth Village Trust and Knebworth Parish Council.
Lisa has lived in Knebworth since 2015. She was elected to North Hertfordshire District Council in 2018. The ward previously had a solid Conservative majority, however the village had become alarmed at the hollowing out of its social amenities, the threats to its train timetable, the traffic congestion on its high street, and a noticeable spike in anti-social behaviour. As Chair of Save Our Station Pub, Knebworth (SOSPUB) Lisa was already a well-known figure locally.
In Her Own Words
"I have really taken Knebworth to heart since I lived here. I feel a great sense of community and have made a lot of new friends. I want to act as an advocate for Knebworth and its residents, addressing issues that are important and providing a strong voice to make a stand when necessary. I intend to work closely with community groups and believe that forging links with them is paramount. Please feel free to contact me via telephone, or email, or pop along to one of my councillor surgeries where I will be inviting community groups along so that you can find out what else is happening locally. I look forward to meeting you."
