Key decision on Local Plan expected by 11th April

5 Mar 2017

The District Council is to decide whether to submit the local plan to the Secretary of State at a meeting on 11th April.

District Councillors are to be briefed on the results of the consultation on 23rd March, but we already know that the County Council has said that the plan has not been properly prepared because it does not take account of the need to provide school places.

This is particularly an issue for the Great Ashby proposals GA1 and GA2 (which don't make allowance for the required secondary school places and where the county says that the road system could not cope with the proposed houses AND a secondary school) and the Baldock proposals.
