Royston temporary banking hub extended
Terrific news for all those who use Royston’s Banking Hub, as Cash Access UK has had its licence extended for a further six months until August 2025.
The temporary hub is situated in the annexe of Royston Town Hall and has provided a much-needed boost for the community after the closure of the last remaining bank in the town in recent months.

Liberal Democrat County Councillor for Royston West, Steve Jarvis, who is also shadow executive member for enterprise at North Herts Council, said, “I’m delighted Cash Access UK’s successful operations will continue at the Town Hall throughout the coming months. It clearly provides a vital service to young and old alike who need ready access to banking services.”
Cash Access UK have been negotiating terms to cement their position in Royston with a permanent hub elsewhere in the town after this extension ends in August.
Local Liberal Democrat District group leader, and Town Councillor, Ruth Brown, added, “I’m confident we have the impetus to ensure a permanent hub will soon be in place in the town. Thank you to all of those who have supported this project.”
